The patch titled w1-gpio: add external pull-up enable callback has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is w1-gpio-add-external-pull-up-enable-callback.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code *** See http://userweb.kernel.org/~akpm/stuff/added-to-mm.txt to find out what to do about this The current -mm tree may be found at http://userweb.kernel.org/~akpm/mmotm/ ------------------------------------------------------ Subject: w1-gpio: add external pull-up enable callback From: Daniel Mack <daniel@xxxxxxxx> On embedded devices, sleep mode conditions can be tricky to handle, Especially when processors tend to pull-down the w1 bus during sleep. Bus slaves (such as the ds2760) may interpret this as a reason for power-down conditions and entirely switch off the device. This patch adds a callback function pointer to let users switch on and off the external pull-up resistor. This lets the outside world know whether the processor is currently actively driving the bus or not. When this callback is not provided, the code behaviour won't change.
