Subject: i386: PIT stop only, when in periodic or oneshot mode
From: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

The patch is necessary on one of my boxen, where programming the stop
sequence twice leads to PIT malfunction.

Sigh !
