The patch titled
Subject: riscv: add support for kernel-mode FPU
has been added to the -mm mm-nonmm-unstable branch. Its filename is
     riscv-add-support-for-kernel-mode-fpu.patch

This patch will shortly appear at
     https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/25-new.git/tree/patches/riscv-add-support-for-kernel-mode-fpu.patch

This patch will later appear in the mm-nonmm-unstable branch at
    git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/mm

Before you just go and hit "reply", please:
   a) Consider who else should be cc'ed
   b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well
   c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a
reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's

Subject: riscv: add support for kernel-mode FPU
Date: Fri, 29 Mar 2024 00:18:26 -0700

This is motivated by the amdgpu DRM driver, which needs floating-point
code to support recent hardware. That code is not performance-critical,
so only provide a minimal non-preemptible implementation for now.

Support is limited to riscv64 because riscv32 requires runtime (libgcc)
assistance to convert between doubles and 64-bit integers.
