The patch titled Subject: mm/page_alloc: print node fallback order has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is mm-page_alloc-print-node-fallback-order.patch This patch should soon appear at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-page_alloc-print-node-fallback-order.patch and later at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-page_alloc-print-node-fallback-order.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Bharata B Rao <bharata@xxxxxxx> Subject: mm/page_alloc: print node fallback order Patch series "Fix NUMA nodes fallback list ordering". For a NUMA system that has multiple nodes at same distance from other nodes, the fallback list generation prefers same node order for them instead of round-robin thereby penalizing one node over others. This series fixes it. More description of the problem and the fix is present in the patch description. This patch (of 2): Print information message about the allocation fallback order for each NUMA node during boot. No functional changes here. This makes it easier to illustrate the problem in the node fallback list generation, which the next patch fixes.
