The patch titled Subject: mm: slub: move sysfs slab alloc/free interfaces to debugfs has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is mm-slub-move-sysfs-slab-alloc-free-interfaces-to-debugfs.patch This patch should soon appear at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-slub-move-sysfs-slab-alloc-free-interfaces-to-debugfs.patch and later at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-slub-move-sysfs-slab-alloc-free-interfaces-to-debugfs.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Faiyaz Mohammed <faiyazm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: mm: slub: move sysfs slab alloc/free interfaces to debugfs alloc_calls and free_calls implementation in sysfs have two issues, one is PAGE_SIZE limitation of sysfs and other is it does not adhere to "one value per file" rule. To overcome this issues, move the alloc_calls and free_calls implementation to debugfs. Debugfs cache will be created if SLAB_STORE_USER flag is set. Rename the alloc_calls/free_calls to alloc_traces/free_traces, to be inline with what it does.
