The patch titled Subject: arch/mips/kernel/traps: use vma_lookup() instead of find_vma() has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is arch-mips-kernel-traps-use-vma_lookup-instead-of-find_vma.patch This patch should soon appear at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/arch-mips-kernel-traps-use-vma_lookup-instead-of-find_vma.patch and later at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/arch-mips-kernel-traps-use-vma_lookup-instead-of-find_vma.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Liam Howlett <liam.howlett@xxxxxxxxxx> Subject: arch/mips/kernel/traps: use vma_lookup() instead of find_vma() Use vma_lookup() to find the VMA at a specific address. As vma_lookup() will return NULL if the address is not within any VMA, the start address no longer needs to be validated.
