The patch titled Subject: kernel.h: split out panic and oops helpers has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is kernelh-split-out-panic-and-oops-helpers.patch This patch should soon appear at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/kernelh-split-out-panic-and-oops-helpers.patch and later at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/kernelh-split-out-panic-and-oops-helpers.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Andy Shevchenko <andriy.shevchenko@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: kernel.h: split out panic and oops helpers kernel.h is being used as a dump for all kinds of stuff for a long time. Here is the attempt to start cleaning it up by splitting out panic and oops helpers. There are several purposes of doing this: - dropping dependency in bug.h - dropping a loop by moving out panic_notifier.h - unload kernel.h from something which has its own domain At the same time convert users tree-wide to use new headers, although for the time being include new header back to kernel.h to avoid twisted indirected includes for existing users.
