The patch titled

has been removed from the -mm tree.  Its filename was
     x86-vmemmap-handle-unpopulated-sub-pmd-ranges-fix.patch

This patch was dropped because it was folded into x86-vmemmap-handle-unpopulated-sub-pmd-ranges.patch

It seems that we need to go back to the ifdef version as the IS_ENABLED
does not properly work and throws a warning.
