The patch titled Subject: mm: memcontrol: inline __memcg_kmem_{un}charge() into obj_cgroup_{un}charge_pages() has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is mm-memcontrol-inline-__memcg_kmem_uncharge-into-obj_cgroup_uncharge_pages.patch This patch should soon appear at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-memcontrol-inline-__memcg_kmem_uncharge-into-obj_cgroup_uncharge_pages.patch and later at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-memcontrol-inline-__memcg_kmem_uncharge-into-obj_cgroup_uncharge_pages.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Muchun Song <songmuchun@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: mm: memcontrol: inline __memcg_kmem_{un}charge() into obj_cgroup_{un}charge_pages() There is only one user of __memcg_kmem_charge(), so manually inline __memcg_kmem_charge() to obj_cgroup_charge_pages(). Similarly manually inline __memcg_kmem_uncharge() into obj_cgroup_uncharge_pages() and call obj_cgroup_uncharge_pages() in obj_cgroup_release(). This is just code cleanup without any functionality changes.
