The patch titled
     Subject: mm/vmalloc: simplify merge_or_add_vmap_area()
has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is
     mm-vmalloc-simplify-merge_or_add_vmap_area-func.patch

This patch should soon appear at
    http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-vmalloc-simplify-merge_or_add_vmap_area-func.patch
and later at
    http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-vmalloc-simplify-merge_or_add_vmap_area-func.patch

Before you just go and hit "reply", please:
   a) Consider who else should be cc'ed
   b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well
   c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a
      reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's

*** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code ***

The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated
there every 3-4 working days

Subject: mm/vmalloc: simplify merge_or_add_vmap_area()

Currently when a VA is deallocated and is about to be placed back to the
tree, it can be either: merged with next/prev neighbors or inserted if not
coalesced.

On those steps the tree can be populated several times. For example when
both neighbors are merged. It can be avoided and simplified in fact.

Therefore do it only once when VA points to final merged area, after all
manipulations: merging/removing/inserting.
