The patch titled Subject: mm: consolidate pgtable_cache_init() and pgd_cache_init() has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is mm-consolidate-pgtable_cache_init-and-pgd_cache_init.patch This patch should soon appear at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-consolidate-pgtable_cache_init-and-pgd_cache_init.patch and later at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-consolidate-pgtable_cache_init-and-pgd_cache_init.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Mike Rapoport <rppt@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: mm: consolidate pgtable_cache_init() and pgd_cache_init() Both pgtable_cache_init() and pgd_cache_init() are used to initialize kmem cache for page table allocations on several architectures that do not use PAGE_SIZE tables for one or more levels of the page table hierarchy. Most architectures do not implement these functions and use __weak default NOP implementation of pgd_cache_init(). Since there is no such default for pgtable_cache_init(), its empty stub is duplicated among most architectures. Rename the definitions of pgd_cache_init() to pgtable_cache_init() and drop empty stubs of pgtable_cache_init().
