The patch titled Subject: mm: add generic p?d_leaf() macros has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is mm-add-generic-pd_leaf-macros.patch This patch should soon appear at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-add-generic-pd_leaf-macros.patch and later at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-add-generic-pd_leaf-macros.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Steven Price <steven.price@xxxxxxx> Subject: mm: add generic p?d_leaf() macros Exposing the pud/pgd levels of the page tables to walk_page_range() means we may come across the exotic large mappings that come with large areas of contiguous memory (such as the kernel's linear map). For architectures that don't provide all p?d_leaf() macros, provide generic do nothing default that are suitable where there cannot be leaf pages that that level.
