The patch titled Subject: mm: update ptep_modify_prot_start/commit to take vm_area_struct as arg has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is mm-update-ptep_modify_prot_start-commit-to-take-vm_area_struct-as-arg.patch This patch should soon appear at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-update-ptep_modify_prot_start-commit-to-take-vm_area_struct-as-arg.patch and later at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-update-ptep_modify_prot_start-commit-to-take-vm_area_struct-as-arg.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: "Aneesh Kumar K.V" <aneesh.kumar@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: mm: update ptep_modify_prot_start/commit to take vm_area_struct as arg Patch series "NestMMU pte upgrade workaround for mprotect", v5. We can upgrade pte access (R -> RW transition) via mprotect. We need to make sure we follow the recommended pte update sequence as outlined in commit bd5050e38aec ("powerpc/mm/radix: Change pte relax sequence to handle nest MMU hang") for such updates. This patch series does that. This patch (of 5): Some architectures may want to call flush_tlb_range from these helpers.
