The patch titled Subject: mm: replace all open encodings for NUMA_NO_NODE has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is mm-replace-all-open-encodings-for-numa_no_node.patch This patch should soon appear at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-replace-all-open-encodings-for-numa_no_node.patch and later at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-replace-all-open-encodings-for-numa_no_node.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Anshuman Khandual <anshuman.khandual@xxxxxxx> Subject: mm: replace all open encodings for NUMA_NO_NODE At present there are multiple places where invalid node number is encoded as -1. Even though implicitly understood it is always better to have macros in there. Replace these open encodings for an invalid node number with the global macro NUMA_NO_NODE. This helps remove NUMA related assumptions like 'invalid node' from various places redirecting them to a common definition.
