The patch titled Subject: io-64-nonatomic: add io{read|write}64[be]{_lo_hi|_hi_lo} macros has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is io-64-nonatomic-add-ioreadwrite64_lo_hi_hi_lo-macros.patch This patch should soon appear at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/io-64-nonatomic-add-ioreadwrite64_lo_hi_hi_lo-macros.patch and later at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/io-64-nonatomic-add-ioreadwrite64_lo_hi_hi_lo-macros.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Logan Gunthorpe <logang@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: io-64-nonatomic: add io{read|write}64[be]{_lo_hi|_hi_lo} macros This patch adds generic io{read|write}64[be]{_lo_hi|_hi_lo} macros if they are not already defined by the architecture. (As they are provided by the generic iomap library). The patch also points io{read|write}64[be] to the variant specified by the header name. This is because new drivers are encouraged to use ioreadXX, et al instead of readX[1], et al -- and mixing ioreadXX with readq is pretty ugly.
