The patch titled Subject: mm: only display online cpus of the numa node has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is mm-only-dispaly-online-cpus-of-the-numa-node.patch This patch should soon appear at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-only-dispaly-online-cpus-of-the-numa-node.patch and later at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-only-dispaly-online-cpus-of-the-numa-node.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Zhen Lei <thunder.leizhen@xxxxxxxxxx> Subject: mm: only display online cpus of the numa node When I executed numactl -H(which read /sys/devices/system/node/nodeX/cpumap and display cpumask_of_node for each node), but I got different result on X86 and arm64. For each numa node, the former only displayed online CPUs, and the latter displayed all possible CPUs. Unfortunately, both Linux documentation and numactl manual have not described it clear. I sent a mail to ask for help, and Michal Hocko replied that he preferred to print online cpus because it doesn't really make much sense to bind anything on offline nodes.
