The patch titled

     Driver core: Don't ignore error returns from probing

has been removed from the -mm tree.  Its filename is

     driver-core-dont-ignore-error-returns-from-probing.patch

This patch was dropped because an updated version was merged

This patch (as797) fixes device_add() in the driver core.  It needs to
pay attention when the driver for a new device reports an error.
