The patch titled Subject: mm: fix cache mode tracking in vm_insert_mixed() has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is mm-fix-cache-mode-tracking-in-vm_insert_mixed.patch This patch should soon appear at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-fix-cache-mode-tracking-in-vm_insert_mixed.patch and later at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-fix-cache-mode-tracking-in-vm_insert_mixed.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Dan Williams <dan.j.williams@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: mm: fix cache mode tracking in vm_insert_mixed() vm_insert_mixed() unlike vm_insert_pfn_prot() and vmf_insert_pfn_pmd(), fails to check the pgprot_t it uses for the mapping against the one recorded in the memtype tracking tree. Add the missing call to track_pfn_insert() to preclude cases where incompatible aliased mappings are established for a given physical address range.
