The patch titled
Subject: ntfs: delete unnecessary checks before calling iput()
has been removed from the -mm tree. Its filename was
ntfs-deletion-of-unnecessary-checks-before-the-function-call-iput.patch
This patch was dropped because it was merged into mainline or a subsystem tree

Subject: ntfs: delete unnecessary checks before calling iput()
iput() tests whether its argument is NULL and then returns immediately.
Thus the test around the call is not needed.
This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software.
