Its filename is mm-dmapool-allow-null-pool-pointer-in-dma_pool_destroy.patch This patch should soon appear at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-dmapool-allow-null-pool-pointer-in-dma_pool_destroy.patch and later at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-dmapool-allow-null-pool-pointer-in-dma_pool_destroy.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Sergey Senozhatsky <sergey.senozhatsky@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: mm/dmapool: allow NULL `pool' pointer in dma_pool_destroy() dma_pool_destroy() does not tolerate a NULL dma_pool pointer argument and performs a NULL-pointer dereference. This requires additional attention and effort from developers/reviewers and forces all dma_pool_destroy() callers to do a NULL check if (pool) dma_pool_destroy(pool); Or, otherwise, be invalid dma_pool_destroy() users. Tweak dma_pool_destroy() and NULL-check the pointer there. Proposed by Andrew Morton.
