The patch titled
     Subject: ocfs2: do not fallback to buffer I/O write if appending
has been added to the -mm tree.  Its filename is
     ocfs2-do-not-fallback-to-buffer-i-o-write-if-appending.patch

This patch should soon appear at

and later at

The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated
there every 3-4 working days

Now we can do direct io and do not fallback to buffered IO any more in
case of append O_DIRECT write.
