The patch titled Subject: fs/file.c: replace get_unused_fd() with get_unused_fd_flags(0) has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is file-trivial-replace-get_unused_fd-by-get_unused_fd_flags0.patch This patch should soon appear at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/file-trivial-replace-get_unused_fd-by-get_unused_fd_flags0.patch and later at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/file-trivial-replace-get_unused_fd-by-get_unused_fd_flags0.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Yann Droneaud <ydroneaud@xxxxxxxxxx> Subject: fs/file.c: replace get_unused_fd() with get_unused_fd_flags(0) This patch replaces calls to get_unused_fd() with equivalent call to get_unused_fd_flags(0) to preserve current behavor for existing code. In a further patch, get_unused_fd() will be removed so that new code start using get_unused_fd_flags(), with the hope O_CLOEXEC could be used, either by default or choosen by userspace.
