The patch titled readahead: initial method - expected read size has been removed from the -mm tree. Its filename is readahead-initial-method-expected-read-size.patch This patch was probably dropped from -mm because it has now been merged into a subsystem tree or into Linus's tree, or because it was folded into its parent patch in the -mm tree. ------------------------------------------------------ Subject: readahead: initial method - expected read size From: Wu Fengguang <wfg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> backing_dev_info.ra_expect_bytes is dynamicly updated to be the expected read pages on start-of-file. It allows the initial readahead to be more aggressive and hence efficient.
