This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled MIPS: BMIPS: BMIPS5000 has I cache filing from D cache to the linux-4.2.y-queue branch of the 4.2.y-ckt extended stable tree which can be found at: https://git.launchpad.net/~canonical-kernel/linux/+git/linux-stable-ckt/log/?h=linux-4.2.y-queue This patch is scheduled to be released in version 4.2.8-ckt12. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to this tree, please reply to this email. For more information about the 4.2.y-ckt tree, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Dev/ExtendedStable Thanks. -Kamal ---8<------------------------------------------------------------ >From 6ecc9c902f6bf2afce53be9160f35373ed235df0 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, 4 Apr 2016 10:55:34 -0700 Subject: MIPS: BMIPS: BMIPS5000 has I cache filing from D cache commit c130d2fd3d59fbd5d269f7d5827bd4ed1d94aec6 upstream. BMIPS5000 and BMIPS52000 processors have their I-cache filling from the D-cache. Since BMIPS_GENERIC does not provide (yet) a cpu-feature-overrides.h file, this was not set anywhere, so make sure the R4K cache detection takes care of that.
