This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled MIPS: Export FP functions used by lose_fpu(1) for KVM to the linux-3.16.y-queue branch of the 3.16.y-ckt extended stable tree which can be found at: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/linux.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/linux-3.16.y-queue This patch is scheduled to be released in version 3.16.7-ckt8. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to this tree, please reply to this email. For more information about the 3.16.y-ckt tree, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Dev/ExtendedStable Thanks. -Luis ------ >From ebe07fbdc6dcfc5e5e6d23a9cec0e75ef6cc78a4 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: James Hogan <james.hogan@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 10 Feb 2015 10:02:59 +0000 Subject: MIPS: Export FP functions used by lose_fpu(1) for KVM commit 3ce465e04bfd8de9956d515d6e9587faac3375dc upstream. Export the _save_fp asm function used by the lose_fpu(1) macro to GPL modules so that KVM can make use of it when it is built as a module. This fixes the following build error when CONFIG_KVM=m due to commit f798217dfd03 ("KVM: MIPS: Don't leak FPU/DSP to guest"): ERROR: "_save_fp" [arch/mips/kvm/kvm.ko] undefined!
