Hi Mike, You need to set up the userland. I got it from the mips website ftp://ftp.mips.com/pub/linux/mips/installation/redhat7.1/. There is a good document on how to install it. You can install it on a hard disk or use an NFS mounted system and set the bootvariable root=... properly. For an NFS system I use go . nfsroot=10.10.10.1:/shiva/export/linux/mipsel Muthu. PS: There are other distributions you can try too. Checkout linux-mips website or google for it.
