removing messages from an archive

We are cleaning up an archive. It has >50k messages.

We used -rmm to remove unwanted messages.

That works but we are wondering if we can do the same with an element?

Eg

199802171800.KAA27647@medusa.acs.uci.edu

</rmm>
  and this do the same thing
prompt> mhonarc -rmm 23-34 199802171800.KAA27647@medusa.acs.uci.edu 52

What would it take to add that to the code?
