Did you make any changes to any resource settings?  If you have
a resource file with improperly closed resource settings (i.e. no
end tags), it can cause problems.

Do you have messages that have non-English/non-Latin-1 encodings?

BTW, you did not provide information about your system (OS, RAM, etc)
and the version of Perl you are using.  Also, what type of progress and
diagnostic output did MHonArc produce?
