date index page with Date header instead of From header?

I've searched through the documentation and this mailing list's archives but can't find the answer to this.

By default, when you generate a date index page, it looks like this:

     From: Earl Hood <ehood@hydra.acs.uci.edu>
Re: Idea for the future 
     From: Christopher Lindsey <lindsey@ncsa.uiuc.edu>
attachments 
     From: Matthew Clark <matt@yap.com.au>


Is there an option where you can specify the header to print instead of the "From:" header lines indented above?

For example, I want the date index page to substitute the "From:" header line with the "Date:" header like this:

     Date: Thu, 30 Nov 2000 20:17:28 -0800
Re: Idea for the future 
     Date: Thu, 30 Nov 2000 22:42:48 -0600 (CST)

Is there an option for that without having to hack the source?
