It might be the antenna setup on your car. My antenna is embedded in the rear glass of my car and I can't get any fm transmitter setup to sound good.

So obviously my phone has a problem. Do you have to push the volume of
your stereo to hear the N900 ?
Are there different FM chips/configurations for different countries ?
