[jot] You seem to be able to run flasher-3.5 anyhow so I suppose all needed libraries are there. We have tested flasher-3.5 mainly with Debian, Ubuntu and Fedora (maybe also with Suse but I am not sure). It may be that Mandriva does not have compatible USB support with those distros? 

[jot] Unfortunately we cannot start supporting Mandriva separately at least not for Fremantle.
