Sorry I didn't mean webapp but web services (XML-RPC). Gpodder uses it to

I dunno if you meant to reply all; but I how Hermes works very well: I
wrote it :-)

Yes sorry, I am used to lists that auto-reply to the mailing list.

And, again, Python has a large number of reusable libraries on top of
which these apps are written; but this is a topic more for
maemo-developers.

HTH,

Andrew

Python shipped with N800 doesn't has xmlrpc but I do wonder if I can
implement REST parsers on the N900.

/usr/lib/python2.5/xmlrpclib.py exists on my N900, and any existing
Python library can be trivially reused. For example, when building
Hermes I've re-used from elsewhere:

oh ok cool to know. I think the earlier version lacked many interesting libraries like sqlite and others. But good to see they are back in this versions.

Cool, love it, I would love to see if Skype4Py can resurrect "SMS via Skype" since I really use this feature for world wide SMS messaging.

Your favourite XML-RPC/SOAP/WebServices library should be easy to use.
pymaemo-developers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx might also be an appropriate place
to discuss in more detail.

Great!

Andrew
