But there should be clues to indicate or rule out which is the most
likely cause/solution.
1) If it's the battery, there should be other indications like poor
battery life and the mentioned physical changes.
2) If it's a charger, that's extremely easy to test and the plan of
action is obvious.
3) In my case, even a brand new battery didn't help, and the original
Nokia charger didn't solve the problem. The reflash did.
