What I have done is used an ASUS WL-330GE Wireless Access Point.

I have it configured to bridge wifi to ethernet, so that my N800 can
connect to a wired network.  It works very well.  It's a very flexible
device that can be used, for example, to share pay WiFi hot spots among
other computers or to repeat a weak wifi signal etc.  It comes small a
small pouch and can get power from an AC adapter or USB port.
