Diablo, apparently, has a somewhat crippled support for the popular Windows-1252 encoding: ~ $ iconv -l|grep 1252 CP1252// WINDOWS-1252// ~ $ iconv -f cp1252 -t utf-8 < /dev/null iconv: conversion from `cp1252' is not supported Try `iconv --help' or `iconv --usage' for more information. In practice this means that I cannot edit Windows-1252 files with Vim. Can anybody with a shell on a N900 run these two iconv commands and report the results?
