Oddly, the file open menu item on leafpad gets me to a file-selection 
dialogue that looks much like the standard file manager, but there seems 
no way to get to the home directory.  I suppose I can insert a symbolic 
link somewhere to point to it, but it seems odd that I can't just edit 
all my own files.

Or is there, again, something I'm missing.
