Greetings All, I'm running an N800 with OS2008 installed. Had Claws installed & working, but was having issues with the html add-on not doing anything. When 3.6.1-1 was released in October, I got the bright idea to uninstall the base claws email program, then try to re-install the base and html packages again to "fix it". But now I cannot install because of a missing package error: "Unable to install claws-mail. Application packages missing: libtasn1-3(>=0.3.4)" I have been unable to find this package built for the ARM/Maemo platform. Help! Been using Modest email package since October, and I want my claws-email back, as I use many feature Modest doesn't have! The archives of this email list were searched back a few months, and no claws mail install issues were found. Did I miss something? Google didn't help either. In addition to trying the OS2008 GUI package installer, an install was attempted by steering my N800 browser to http://www.claws-mail.org/maemo/ http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/claws-mail/ This resulted in a "failed catalogs" error "www.claws-mail.org/maemo/dists/chinook/usr/binary-armel/Packages.gz not found". Sure enough, "chinook" isn't in the www.claws-mail.org/maemo/dists/ directory anymore. So, I tried "bora" by edited within the GUI package installer the catalog entry. Discouragingly, I note all the files & directories off the 'dists' directory have April 2008 time stamps, which doesn't seem to match the October last release. It still dead-ends with missing libtasn1. So somehow I'm probably just not configured to be looking at the right install catalogs on the 'Net? An attempt was made to compile libtasn1 myself using the Maemo scratch box, downloaded from http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gnutls/libtasn1-1.3.tar.gz. The compile suceeded, and I sftp'ed the libs and pkgconfig and include file to my N800, /usr base dir & added sym links for the libraries, hacked /usr/lib/pkgconfig/libtasn1.pc to point to /usr/lib, /usr/include, etc., where I put the library files on my N800. But this doesn't solve the missing dependencies check. Very possibly, I'm missing an install configuration file somewhere that tells the package manager the libtasn1 is installed. Why the install GUI doesn't see /usr/lib/pkgconfig confuses me. An attempt was also made to use apt-get in a shell on the N800. apt-get seems to be stripped down on the maemo platform, so I cannot figure out how to force the installer to ignore the dependency failure. (cause I think I installed the library) It fails with similiar dependency checks. A shell apt-get session is appended below. Thanks!
