IIRC, Wine binaries are for x86 platforms but Win32 apps with source may be compiled to run against Winelib. Ten years ago, Checkpoint's FireWall-1 v3.0 admin GUI for Solaris 2.X/SPARC was a port of their Windows app compiled with Winelib. q.v. http://www.winehq.org/site/docs/wine-faq/index#UNDER-WHAT-PLATFORMS-WILL-WINE-RUN and http://www.winehq.org/site/docs/winelib-guide/winelib-requirements

Also, here's the answer to the original poster's ActiveX query: http://garage.maemo.org/projects/rdesktop
