I have the following catalog enabled in the application manager:

Catalog name: maemo Extras
Web address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras/
Distribution: diablo
Components: free non-free

... and XChat does not appear anywhere.

I suppose I'm stating the obvious and preaching to the choir, but there
are WAY too many repositories and WAY too little organization.
