Since Janne was so very helpful and encouraging, I wanted to announce to him (and you) that I cracked my problem with dialog being unable to work. When I cd'd to my scratchbox installation in /opt/scratchbox, into tools/bin, I inspected the ls -i listing, trying to see if there was maybe some busybox-type linking going on, with something screwy with some central image, That wasan't so, each file had it's own inode, but I found out that NONE of the files would execute. So, I used less on dialog, and my less is jiggered to use a special lesspipe.sh on elf-images, showing me linkage and symbol info, and it was telling me it wanted the find it's shared files from /scratchbox, NOT /opt/scratchbox, even though I guarantee that I did in fact install sbox with that -s option to move it to /opt. Well, just experimenting, I added a /opt/scratchbox -> /scratchbox softlink, and now its all fixed. Wonder why that was working wrong? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4 (FreeBSD) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFH3bOAz62J6PPcoOkRAgbbAKCedCDqRJDzmHEDhd6UlUluy7W2ogCeJHJe s4uN4nSf3O5FWojtMQdbm5s= =iiKY -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
