The new version of AbiWord will have support for 2008 and probably 2007,
but I'm not sure if it will work on 2006 - I have still to test and futz
with that.  (Yes, the version available now for Maemo is pretty buggy, I
know.  The new one should be a lot better.)

Other folks have better suggestions for the rest (the wifi patch, etc)
