Sometime there might be some interoperability problems with certain DHCP servers. My recommendation is to file a bug about this to Connectivity/Networking and provide information as much as possible. That way there are better chances to get the bug fixed. Here are some questions for you: What is the make and model of your AP? (Please to be precise as possible.) What are the DHCP settings in AP? Does changing them help? It would help a lot if you can take wireless or Ethernet dump of the DHCP packets. For example you can use tcpdump or wireshark.
