Regarding package selection for maemo-users for IT2008

Hi everybody,

as most n800 users I guess, I've just upgraded my n800 to IT2008 and I
tried to test the new (disabled by default) Maemo extras repository.

Some remarks about it :
-if you try to install a package from Maemo download which is from Maemo
extra, using .install file, a new "Maemo Extras" catalog will be added
to the catalog list, duplicating the existing catalog (see
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2388 )
-It seems there is no dependency check on packages available in "Maemo
Extras", ensuring only packages needed to install those packages are
either in the default IT2008 images or in Maemo Extras repository.

For instance, both ukmp and kagu can't be installed because libbz2 and
ligdbm3 are missing from the repository. I guess most people have added
chinook free and non-free repositories in their catalog list but I think
this should be fixed somehow (I don't know how packages submission is
handled for extras repository, so I waited before filling a bug about
that).
