The disadvantage of email is if you come late to a discussion - and that could be addressed by a good searchable, threaded archive. But what about a mail to nntp gateway? Usenet (remember news, anyone) is a good server-based system with client caching for fast access. And dialup users can pick the threads they want to download. Just a thought. Also, if you're using mail to keep track of busy lists, a good client is important. Any suggestions? -- Paul
