N800 won't boot nor run on external power alone

You could try setting the device to R&D mode with Flasher.  If the
device then boots up, please take a backup of the device (using
the Backup application) and flash the latest release to the device.
All found/known reboot issues are are fixed in the latest release.

If the device still doesn't boot up completely with the R&D mode,
it should then at least be able to charge the battery (when you plug
in charger when the device is powered off) so that you can safely
flash the latest release.
