It seems I can only login via ssh shortly after I have opened an Xterm window (I don't have to keep it open) any ideas how I can avoid having to open Xterm? I have a script bringing up eth0 on boot in /etc/init.d. essentially #! /bin/sh PATH=/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin udhcpc -r192.168.1.110 eth0 Which is bringing the network up fine (I can ping it) but I cannot SSH until after opening Xterm for the first time. Not tried the shhd alternative (didn't install properly last time I tried) does anyone know if that behaves differently? Regards Simon -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
