But yeah, a spacing at 50kHz is not necessary and the automatic scanning usually stops one step before the "real" frequency, so that tapping the one-step-button produces better results (suddenly stereo works). It probably would be better to try "locking in" the real frequency, i.e. if there is a candidate, try a bit further and if it gets worse, go back again.
