[maemo-users] N800: hardware usability issues

First, I'd like to thank Nokia for providing me with the developer
device for a bargain price.

It is really great device and I do enjoy it wholeheartedly.

Now, a couple of rants/ideas to consider for the next model:

1. The body lacks some thin pieces of rubber on sides - or some other
way to make it stop sliding in hands. When I am using the device while
I walk, I constantly feel how easy I can drop it (and definitely would
not like such a disaster - knocking the wood...)
2. The sound control buttons should be implemented in hardware (yes,
all 3 of them!). Once I am listening to media, doing internet call - I
want to be able to control the sound instantly, without getting the
stylus of of its hole and making complex actions on the screen.
3. The carrying case for the device is not rigid enough (yes, that's
again about potential dropping:) May be, some leather should be used
(I really like the way Visor Deluxe got it back in 200), I don't know.
The screen needs some protection while the device is in the pocket of
my jacket.

And thanks for providing the second stylus in the package BTW, it is
really nice touch.

I am not putting my comments regarding the software - I believe they
will all be fixed, in time;)

Sergey
