[maemo-users] How do I check SD card integrity?

Hi Laurent, noticed nobody replied to your message. :-) If you
n800 is slow, there's probably nothing wrong with your SD card unless
it crashes (full reboot) when you have a lot of applications/windows
open. If you're curious about how reliable your card is, you need to
make sure you have virtual memory/swap turned off. I wouldn't do this
if you have any valuable data on the card!

1. Install e2fsprogs from the maemo bora main repository.
2. From the osso-xterm/ssh session unmount the SD card: umount /dev/mmcblk0p1
3. You can then run badblocks like so: badblocks -n -v /dev/mmcblk0

This will take a _long_ time, so plug it into the charger and go
have lunch :-) You probably don't want to run this too often since it
will wear out the flash eventually.
