Ok this somewhat matches a problem I'm having on my 770. The culprit, or
rather one thing I can do that makes it happen every time, (I've flashed and
reflashed to check.) turns out to have been when I install the latest busybox
in the Applications Catalog (onto 0S2006-2.1) and restarted. Now the
graphics for the 'keyboard' and the left hand bar background are white on
white. Along with scroll bars up/down arrows etc as you describe.

Somewhere there is a conflict between this busybox and something else. Looks
like I'll have to find another way to get "ping" (lousy day indeed when a
Linux Admin can't ping things! :0 ) From my end I'm now trying to figure out
what if any error is delivered and how to find out what it thinks it needs
but doesn't have. But something is definitely getting messed up in the
screen drawing and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a common thread
between the two situations.
